Extremes vs. Life

When we focus on the extremes, we miss the detail that is life. We always tend to judge things. They are always either good or bad, happy or sad. What we fail to see are the shades between these black and white colours; the shades of life, of liveliness, beauty and serenity.. Can’t we just live normally, not being so judgemental about each and every thing that happens to us. Why do we always need to evaluate everything we do. Can’t we do something just because we want to rather than thinking about the implication and after effects. What should be important is how much we enjoy whatever we are doing. The beauty of life lies in the present. Go..enjoy your life

BUT there is always a BUT...

Why can’t we have the ideal life? Free of worries..free of misery..free of pains? Why do we have to think about tonnes of things before doing anything? Why can’t we live only for ourselves? Why are we forced to do things that we don’t really want to get in to? Why can’t things run straight and simple? Just when you seem to think things are going right as they should, a but or a if creeps in. Just when you think that you have caught hold of reigns of life, it turns the other way round. Just when we think we have got answers to the questions of Life, Life changes the questions. Why does this happen? Why is this constant conflict going on within us?

Want to be Alone??? No probs...

There are these times in your life when you want to be alone. You make a shell around yourself and just don't want to get out of the it. During such times, no matter how much your friends pester you and insist you to get out of your carapace, there is something in you that will hold you back. It is the part of your life when you want to do a little introspection. The only good friend that you seem to have is yourself. You become irritable when you are in social gatherings; you shout at people, disagree with them all the time and basically create a negative aura around you.

In my opinion, it is not bad if you want to be alone. These are the times when you actually grow, intellectually. I agree that a person evolves with the society but at the same time some amount of soul searching is always required. It helps you develop opinions and thoughts and makes you a much more refined person. So the next time you want to be caged up in your room thinking and analyzing, go ahead. It will surely make some difference!!!

Why is forgetting someone so difficult?

If God gives me the option of fulfilling my one wish, I will probably ask him for an eraser with which I can erase the memories of the past. The memories that I want to forget, the memories which trouble me day and night, the memories which I curse the most. Why do we tend to give so much importance to these thoughts? Why do some people become so important in our lives that it becomes almost impossible to forget them? Why do some people just come and go and change your life forever? Why is it that some events change your life completely? In the end you feel as if your whole identity is shattered. You are no longer alive. Why? Why? Why?

I guess we all have the answers to these questions but the problem arises when it comes to following these solutions. Most of us are a bunch of emotional fools who waste away our time whiling over the past. The other person is not even bothered about how we feel, what we feel.

Never give undue importance to others. You are the master of your life and no one else. Just don’t let any one screw up your life. Ask God for that magic eraser everyday. He will eventually give you one and you will be able to forget your past and start a new journey in the future.

But all endings are also beginnings..we just don’t know it at time

Was going through some quotations when i read this one. Amazing quote this is. This is the story of life. Life is just like a play divided into a series of scenes. Each scene has an ending. The end to one scene leads to the beginning of the other scene...a new path to be traversed...a new arena to be explored. You are the director of the play. It depends on you to decide the path..to choose which scene will follow next..There are just two options. You can either choose to be depressed and take a step backwards or can learn from the past and take a step ahead in your life. The crux of the matter is that you never stay static. Time does not wait for anyone. The show has to go on. The options you choose will give your play i.e. your life, the appropriate direction. The play can be steered by nothing but your wish..in the direction you want it to be steered. So, go...the stage is all set..the actors are ready....direct your play well. All the Best !!!

Pain is inevitable but suffering is optional

So true. Think about it. Whenever something bad happens, expectedly or unexpectedly, you are bound to feel the pain. If the thing doesn’t give you enough pain , it is not bad. Now it depends on you on how you take it. There are only two options: one is that you brood over it and suffer. You spend days crying and cribbing and in the end nothing fruitful will be obtained. The other option is that you move on. Take a lesson from it, learn from your mistakes and try to amend them. Even if you think you are not at fault, try not to play a blame game. Accept that what has happened has happened and you can in no way reverse it. Derive positives out of the negative circumstances. As the saying goes , whatever happens, happens for best. So ultimately its up to you to decide whether you want to convert your pain to a suffering or be positive, overcome it and handle situation in a matured manner.

Patience pays.... Does it really???

I was a strong believer in this saying but things changed and so did my beliefs. In today’s fast moving world, is it really advisable to be patient and wait for good things to happen to you. World is running fast. Everyone is involved in the rat race.  You have to run too to catch up with them and rather try and get ahead of them. True that it is good to be patient but at the same time one should also remember that excess of everything is bad.  You have to put some efforts yourself and then be patient and wait for results. Again if the results are not in your favour, don’t lose hope and try to analyze what went wrong and where. Learn from your mistakes and work again ensuring that you don’t commit those mistakes again. So go ahead, be patient but only after you have done something to wait for.
